July 2015 Favourites: Bare Minerals, Estee Lauder, Maybelline, Loreal,Clinique, Catrice, Mario Badescu, Ren and Olay

One day till August and here are my July favourites. There was a good mix of skincare and makeup here too but for makeup I have mainly been loving the basics; foundations, brow powder and of course lipsticks. So,

1. Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in 04 Natural: You know I love this so much you read my full and detailed review here. It has the most innovative formula for a tinted moisturiser, feels hydrating on the skin and I love the fact that it has a burst of skincare benefits in there too.

2. Estee Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance in Tawny: Another foundation that has been in my rotation lately is another hydrating/dewy option too. I love how light it feels on the skin and also the skin caring ingredients it has on the ingredients list. You see, for me, makeup just need to go beyond being superficial but actually kind to the skin too. A review will coming your way soon, so stay tuned for that.

3. Catrice Eyebrow Set: This has been a long time favourite of mine until I strayed away from it and found it again fairly recently. I am telling you that this is my HG eyebrow powder, hands down. Catrice just gets the colour done right and if you can find it here in Malaysia I suggest you snatch it, don't think. Mine is completely battered but it can still stay closed in my makeup bag. This eyebrow set has a drawer containing a mini brush and spooly which is in fact functional and a mini tweezer. Nothing but this has graced my brows last month and forever after. Great product!!!

4. Maybelline Water Shine Lipsticks in B23 and BM 31: I have talked about them here and I swear that one of them is so similar to the MAC Lipstick in Modesty. Their textures feels so high end and the finish of the lipsticks is a creamy loveliness too and do not leave my lips dry.

5. Olay Revitalizing Cream Cleanser: This is a new discovery for me. I was searching for a cleanser that is non-foamy, hydrating and more travel friendly than my Glamglow Thirstycleanse which I have reviewed here. It was so hard for me to find one and almost every cleanser I saw says foaming on their labels. I am so glad that I found this and actually liking this. It does not lather at all but the gentle microbeads in there did  a really good job at cleansing and exfoliating my skin. It does not leave my skin taut or dry afterwards. It just feels comfortable and hydrated without leaving behind any heavy residue. Highly recommend this if you are looking for one.

6. Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner: After I have exhausted all of my toner backups I went back to this. and I was dumbfounded as to why I left this toner in the first place. I think it might be due to the fact that it was making my skin dry when I was in Amsterdam in May. I talked about it here. However, somehow in outr tropical weather it works wonderfully well provided that I moisturize well. I normally use this once or twice daily depending on my skin state. It has made my skin super smooth, radiant and more polished. I will definitely repurchase this once I ran out.

7. Loreal Hydrafresh Mask-In Water Gel: Another lucky drugstore find which I had a predisposition that I am going to love because of my past experience with the range. I banged on about it on my Instagram the other day and it is not uncalled for. Aside from the jar packaging, the formulation is simply the best for hydrating the skin. It is packed with Hyaluronic Acid to retain moisture and water within the skin. It also contains valuable antioxidants to fight free radical but I am kinda doubting if the antioxidant will not be oxidized when exposed to air which is why I have a beef with the jar packaging. Other than that, it also contains French Spa Water to soothe the skin. I have nothing but love for this product.

8. Clinique Repairwear Anti-Gravity Eye Cream: I have two concerns when it comes to my eyes. Dark circles and dry undereye area. The former is genetic and the latter is ageing related I guess. There's really not much I can do about the first but my eyes really appreciate any kind of hydration they can get. This eye cream really nourishes and gets rid of my dry undereye and that unsightly dehydration lines under my eyes. The formula is so hydrating, I am addicted to it. I have probably overdo it by scooping too much product out because I just love it that much.

9. REN Vita Mineral Omega 3 Optimum Skin Serum Oil: I have been getting back into using facial oil this month and it is a game changer. In combination with my moisturiser, it is the best hydrating combo ever.  This oil in particular is my top favourite because of the light texture which makes it absorbs into the skin. I use  2 drops during the day and 3 drops at night. It has great ingredients too, Omega 3 from plankton to improve moisture barrier of the skin, reshape oil which we know is great to regenerate the skin, wheatgerm oil to protect the skin against free radicals and ageing. It really is your best oil cocktails in one product. I can see the difference when I used this. You can purchase this online via Luxola (out of stock right now) or in store/online at Kens Apothecary.

10. Loreal Elvive Anti Frizz Serum: This has been a long time love for me. I started using this during my university years. It makes my hair smooth, manageable and moisturised too. I have been definitely hair happy lately.

So, that was everything new and old discoveries that I have been loving this month. Would you care to share yours?
